OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST Band 6

The Barnet Memory Service requires an occupational therapist with experience of working in Older Peoples Mental Health Services.

The post holder will carry out home visits in order to perform ADL assessments. He/she will play a key role in the running of the Cognitive Stimulation Therapy programme, as well as overseeing and evaluating the wider therapeutic programme in the memory service.

The post holder will guide staff in relation to therapeutic interventions and may be required to supervise a junior staff member.

The post holder will be a key member of a small supportive team and will receive regular supervision and training, as required.

The memory service is accredited with Memory Services National Accreditation Programme (MSNAP). The group of staff who make up the service are all responsible for ensuring that standards required for accreditation are maintained and built upon.
