“It is an exciting time to join Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust, we have a stretching Trust Strategy in place which puts patients at the heart of what we do, but also focusses on our relationships across the STP particularly with our fellow mental health Trusts. Like many other Trusts, our financial position is challenging, but we are focussed on transformational change in order to meet our future efficiency targets and to ensure we deliver in line with our control total. There is a substantial focus on system working, so this role will provide opportunities to work with both the Executive and Divisional Management Teams within the Trust, as well as other partners across the system. The post holder also plays an active role at our Trust sub-committee meetings.
The post holder will lead the Trust’s Management Accounts function, ensuring a high quality service is provided for financial reporting to divisions. We are looking to achieve Future Focussed Finance accreditation over the coming months, and are focussed on the development of the finance function utilising quality improvement methodology as much as possible. The post holder will also lead on the maintenance of the Trust’s medium term financial plan, which will shortly be refreshed in line with the Trust’s new clinical strategy. We recently upgraded our financial ledger system, and are looking to capitalise on the potential benefits the new functionality can give us.
We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic individual, who can build good relationships within the Finance function, across the Trust and with our system partners.
