Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust is a multiple award-winning, combined mental health and community Trust providing local, regional and national healthcare services. BEH manages the renowned North London Forensic Services (NLFS), rated as 'Outstanding' by the CQC. This service treats and cares for people within the criminal justice system who have mental health conditions. We have also been appointed as the lead provider of forensic mental health services across North London managing the devolved New Models of care budget of £170m from 2018/19. NLFS delivers mental health care across some of the prisons and provides mental health services as HM Young Offenders Institutions in Aylesbury.

We also provide one of the largest eating disorder services in England, as well as drug and alcohol services and mental health liaison services in North Middlesex University Hospitals Trust.

Band 6 Social worker

Phoenix Ward is a QED accredited service, rated as ‘Good’ by the CQC in September 2019. We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic Social worker to be part of our team Eating Disorder Service- Phoenix ward. The Phoenix ward is a 20 bedded unit for the care and treatment of females and males aged 18 and above who have eating disorders. 

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in this interesting and specialised area of mental health care.  This Social worker role on the Phoenix Ward is ideal for someone who is motivated and is inspired to instill positive change as well ensuring that social care needs are identified. They will also take a lead on Safeguarding issues for the Eating Disorders Service.

Phoenix Ward is part of the comprehensive eating disorder service provided at St Ann’s Hospital through Specialist Services at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust.  St Ann’s Eating Disorder Service also comprises a large outpatient department, which provides care and treatment to those with eating disorders in North Central and North East London, and a day programme.
