Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

We are inviting applications for a highly motivated band 5 / 6 physiotherapist ideally with experience of working with people with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will be based in the Integrated Learning Disability Service in the borough of Enfield where the service aims to meet both the health and social well being needs of adults with Learning Disabilities. The multidisciplinary team consists of Social workers, Occupational Therapists, Art Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Speech and language therapists and joint work is encouraged to provide this specialist service.
Interventions happen in the community in their own homes, supported living tenancies, leisure centres, colleges or Day centres. You will be expected to practice autonomously, manage a caseload of clients with learning disabilities, and provide skilled assessment and intervention to a high standard. You will need excellent communication skills, good organisational and interpersonal skills, be flexible and able to work and liaise with different agencies in the best interests for our clients.
CPD is encouraged and supported, and mandatory training is provided. The successful candidate will have opportunities and dedicated time for supervision and development from the Physiotherapist Team Leader.
