Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is flexible and has excellent secretarial and communication skills. You must have experience in audio typing clinical letters and using NHS patient systems. You must have the ability to work unsupervised and under pressure and be able to deal sympathetically with patients and relatives of people with mental health problems. Your main responsibilities will be to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the ADHD team as well as providing cover to other teams as required.
Previous experience in a Mental Health or other NHS setting is desirable and you should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Previous experience in using RIO patient information system, would be advantageous
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
