Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

Please note - Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health Trust will only accept on-line application forms.

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, approachable and motivated Consultant to join our current workforce in our Adolescent In-Patient Unit, The Beacon Centre to help take forward the development of our service.

This is an established post and the successful applicant will join a fellow consultant (who is the lead clinician) and an experience multidisciplinary team.

The Beacon Centre is an established 16 bedded, Tier 4 Adolescent inpatient Unit within the London North Central Sector. The Unit has undergone a CQC inspection in September 2017, and received a good rating in all domains.

Our team has recently received the QNIC accreditation. Our multidisciplinary staffing compliment meets QNIC standards and we have recently completed redecoration of the ward and outdoors area to improve the physical environment of the service.

The Beacon Centre is managed by Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust within its Specialist Service Line which also includes the North London Forensic Service, Eating Disorder Service and Substance Misuse Services.  We work very closely with local community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Adolescent CAMHS teams across the three boroughs and the Paediatric Liaison teams within the London North Central Sector.
