Main duties of the job

The Beacon Centre is a Tier 4, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Inpatient Ward based in the vibrant Edgware area of North London. It is a specialist 16 bed, general adolescent unit, treating young people between the ages of 13 and 18. Click here to listen to what our staff say:

  • Professional registration RMN/RNLD


Essential criteria
  • Experience of working within a mental health setting (as a student for newly qualified staff)
  • Identify, initiate and manage effective practice in a patient centred way
  • Knowledge of a full range of therapeutic skills and approaches. Clear understanding of the CPA process


Essential criteria
  • Ability to effectively run the ward as and when necessary
  • Able to participate in effective teamwork
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the personal and clinical needs of individual service users, their relatives and carers
