About Enfield Adult Community Therapies within Enfield Health.
Enfield Adult Community Therapies Services encompass Community Physiotherapy, Community Stroke Rehabilitation, Adult Speech and Language therapy, Bone health and Fracture liaison service and the Nutrition and Dietetic Service. These services are located on the St Michaels primary care centre site in Enfield. As a service we really do endeavour to implement the Improving Working Lives initiatives and to gain a healthy work life balance working as a cohesive, proactive and flexible team.
If you don’t know Enfield we are on the edge of London and have easy access to central London as well as enjoying the benefits of the nearby greenbelt.
We require an administrative secretary to lead the Community Therapies admin team in an office manager role, supporting Adult Community Therapy services. You will have a leadership role and be responsible for the day to day management of the team. You will also be responsible for completing regular supervision with the team and completing their 6 monthly and annual appraisals.
As part of the admin team you will provide vital support to the clinicians , processing referrals, dealing with telephone enquiries from patients and other professionals, typing reports and letters and inputting data. You will be responsible for dealing with, and developing the day-to-day organisation of the office and all associated administrative tasks and for monitoring the systems in place, under the supervision of the senior staff.
As a frontline member of staff you will often be the first point of contact for patients or professionals contacting the department and therefore it is extremely important that you have the skills and experience required in dealing with telephone enquires.
Previous experience of reception work is essential and management of staff.
This currently will be a 9 month secondment post.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
