Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) provides healthcare services locally, regionally and nationally. We serve a population of 1.2 million, employ more than 3,300 staff, and operate from over 20 main sites in the community. As a multiple award winning Trust we provide mental health services for young people, adults and older people, and have a full range of child and adult community health services in Enfield. Our North London Forensic Service treats and cares for people in the criminal justice system who have mental health conditions. We also provide one of the largest eating disorders services in England, as well as drug and alcohol services, and mental health liaison services at Barnet Hospital and the North Middlesex University Hospital.

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our specialist service line as a Business Support Administrator. This is an interesting and varied role which sees you operate at the heart of our business. We pride ourselves on providing high quality services and our forensic inpatient services rated as “outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission.

The Specialist Service Line provides the following services:

  •  Forensic mental health inpatient and community based
  •  Health in Justice Services to prisons in London and Bucks, as well as liaison and diversion services working in courts and police stations
  • Eating Disorder Services inpatient and outpatient
  • Substance Misuse services

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will join a 30 strong admin team based at Chase Farm Hospital and will provide business support to a number of our highly effective senior management team members.

We are seeking a dynamic, well-organised, and pro-active administrator. You will need working knowledge of all key IT systems, with an in depth knowledge of MS Office. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a good eye for detail, and be a true team player. The ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure so as to meet strict deadlines is an essential feature of this job.

  • Should include team working, interpersonal skills and written and verbal skills, importance of a positive “can do” attitude and a positive attitude to change
