Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

Following the departure of a long-serving Consultant we are looking for a full time Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry, working in the Enfield North Locality Team. 

The role involves significant Mental Health Act work and you will act as a Responsible Clinician for patients under section in the community.

We offer community support and treatment to people with common mental health issue such as anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia, bi-polar affective disorder, psychotic depression and other psychiatric disorders.

We offer a range of treatment and intervention services including:

  • Specialised medical psychiatric treatment
  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Carer assessment and support
  • Employment and education support with welfare advice
  • Community care assessments
  • Services will be offered to patients according to their needs

The post is based at 58-60 Silver Street, Enfield, EN1 3EP for 6 months with the possibility of extension.
