Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

This is a Full time Consultant Psychiatrist post in North/South Locality Mental Health Team in Enfield, newly created due to adult pathway review and merger of personality disorder stream into locality team. The purpose is to stream line services in the community, minimising boundaries for our patients. Medical staff works as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering a community service to patients to Enfield GP’s. The majority of who are expected to be subject to CPA.

The community team is located at 58-60 Silver Street in Enfield and Lucas house in Edmonton.

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
