Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust is a multiple award-winning, combined mental health and community Trust providing local, regional and national healthcare services. This service treats and cares for people within the criminal justice system who have mental health conditions. We have also been appointed as the lead provider of forensic mental health services across North London managing the devolved New Models of care budget of £170m from 2018/19. NLFS delivers mental health care across some of the prisons and provides mental health services as HM Young Offenders Institutions in Aylesbury.

We also provide one of the largest eating disorder services in England, as well as drug and alcohol services and mental health liaison services in North Middlesex University Hospitals Trust.

Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - 3 year Fixed term Contract to cover an internal secondment promotion

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and motivated Therapist to join our Speech and Language Therapy team

  • Access to Clinical lead expert Therapists who can offer individualised support and training to support your further development
  • A commitment to your continued professional development. Within the last year the team has had the following training: SCERTS, Approaches to AAC, )Attention Autism Levels 1-4, with on-going oppurtunities to receive accredited training in Talking Mats

Paediatric Specialist Speech and Language Therapists Band 6 – Full time (Term time only considered)- 3 year Fixed Term Contract

We would consider applications from Band 5 Therapists or newly qualified Therapists who will have the opportunity, in post, to develop into a band 6.

This post is part of our friendly and innovative Mainstream Schools Team. You will be allocated a number of Mainstream schools and will offer support to children and young people who have Education Health and Care plans and who require speech and language support as part of their provision. This will involve a high level of partnership working with school staff and parents.

The post will require travelling between schools and you will be provided with appropriate IT in order to work remotely.
