Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

Staff Nurse- Band-5 (Forensic Service and CAMHS 'The Beacon Centre' )

Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust is looking to recruit Band 5 registered nurses for the Forensic in-patient service and CAMHS tier 4 inpatient service The North London Forensic Service, based at our Chase Farm Hospital site, provides inpatient services to North Central London of both medium and low secure forensic care, including a women’s service and a 15 bedded service designated for forensic patients with learning disabilities. Having been rated outstanding by the CQC previously, We maintained our outstanding status and improved by being rated in 4 domains as outstanding out of 5 domains. We are the first forensic service in England to achieve such an outcome. We develop and retain our staff through support and provide opportunities for staff develop and grow.

The “New“ Beacon Centre is a 14 bedded tier 4 inpatient Child And Adolescent Mental Health Service based at Edgware Community Hospital. The Beacon Centre has evolved to be one of the best CAMHS tier 4 inpatient units in the country, highly praised by NHS England and the CQC. The precious CQC inspection rated it as Requiring Improvement. The Most Recent CQC inspection rated it as GOOD across all 5 domains. This is in recognition to all the excellent progression at the Beacon Centre which is under a new Service manager and enthusiastic qualified nurses.

  • Able to make balanced judgments and decisions.
  • Able to work under pressure while remaining calm and maintaining quality. Has a flexible and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Is physically fit and able to complete PMCB mandatory training
