Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) provides healthcare services locally, regionally and nationally. We serve a population of 1.2 million, employ more than 3,300 staff, and operate from over 20 main sites in the community. As a multiple award winning Trust we provide mental health services for young people, adults and older people, and have a full range of child and adult community health services in Enfield. Our North London Forensic Service treats and cares for people in the criminal justice system who have mental health conditions. We also provide one of the largest eating disorders services in England, as well as drug and alcohol services, and mental health liaison services at Barnet Hospital and the North Middlesex University Hospital.

Job overview

Are you the experienced Administrator we are looking for?

We have interim roles available for Band 4 Administrators at various locations across the Trust.

Working address: Various   

Duration: 4 – 6 months with the possibility of extension 

Working Hours are between 8 – 18.00pm Monday – Friday (various ways of working)

 

Main duties of the job

Main duties:

  • Call handling
  • Data entry and maintenance of spreadsheets
  • Getting forms completed
  • High standard of writing and proof-reading
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent Computer Skills - MS Office suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Covmis, FluMis
  • Organised and able to work independently
  • Cover reception when receptionist is away from the department as part of a rota of cover basis
  • Attending team meetings
  • Scanning
  • Typing reports, appointment letters etc.
  • Other admin duties as required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Experience

·         Previous experience of office administration (essential)

·         Comprehensive experience of ESR/EPR (essential)

 

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

  • Ability to work on own initiative and be able to prioritise workload around known deadlines and targets independently (must have)
  • Computer literate – Intermediate level knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel (must have)
  • Good telephone manner, able to use email effectively (must have)
  • Ability to work without supervision for extended periods of time (must have)

·         Excellent attention to details (must have)

·         Good team working and communication skills

·         6 – 12 months office-based work experience.

  • Good knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Good knowledge and proficiency of Trust systems to include, RiO, Agresso and eRostering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Keyboard skills to ensure accuracy, speed and optimum use of functions
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise a number of activities and continually reprioritise to meet tight, conflicting and often changing deadlines
  • Maintains confidentiality and observes Information Governance and Data Protection rules
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Comprehensive experience of ESR/EPR
