Charge Nurse - Band 6
This is an exciting opportunity for a current Band 5 nurse with at least 12/18 months experience or an existing Band 6 practitioner with experience in criminal justice and/or forensic nursing to be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary mental health team at HMP Pentonville.
HMP Pentonville is a busy local remand category B prison within North London with a high turnover and an operational capacity of over 1200 spaces. This includes a 22 bedded inpatient unit which cares for men with both physical and psychological ill health. As such you will be working in a fast paced environment with often complex and vulnerable service users.
The team embraces a health and well-being stepped model of care and the successful applicant will assist in caring for those who present with both mental illness and neurodevelopmental disorders and then to consider appropriate care pathways and follow up. The successful applicant will need to be a skilled assessor and confident in their practice.
You will benefit from accessing both the Prison Healthcare Services and BEH MH Trust training programme for your CPD.
This is a 24hrs service facility, For an informal discussion and/or visit please contact Karen Telfer Ward Manager on 020 7 023 7385 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
