Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Inpatient Psychiatry for a new acute assessment ward based at the Dennis Scott Unit, Edgware Community Hospital.
Our new ward is a mixed gender acute psychiatric ward which is has 15 beds in clearly defined male and female areas.
The post has become available due to a service development, as part of the Trust’s commitment to reducing out of area placements and to improve staff and service user experience. The post is subject to the annual job planning process agreed under the New Consultant Contract.
You will be a clinical leader within the service and will be expected to contribute to the development of services.
Participation in research and educational activities will be encouraged. You must have full GMC registration and have a CCT in general adult psychiatry or be within 6 months of completion of training or be eligible for inclusion on the specialist register at the time of interview.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
