Preceptorship Programme

We understand that being a newly qualified practitioner can feel quite daunting and bring numerous challenges. We also recognise that the transition to registered practitioner is unique to each and every person. To help support you we have developed a bespoke preceptorship programme, which includes:

  • Preceptorship in the workplace
  • Taught sessions
  • Reflection
  • Action learning sets
  • Peer support
  • Provision of a range of learning materials

Our preceptorship programme has received the Quality Mark 2018/19 from Capital Nurse. 

Opportunity to Gain Experience in a Wide Range of Specialist Settings

We employ staff in both inpatient and community settings across a variety of areas including the below and more:

  • Prison Services
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Older People’s Mental Health Services
  • Forensic Services
  • PICU Mental Health
  • Mental Health Admissions
  • Psychiatric Liaison
  • Eating Disorders
  • Adult Nursing (including District Nursing and a rehabilitation ward)

You will also have the opportunity to apply to our rotation programme aimed at developing our staff beyond preceptorship
