Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

Please note - Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health Trust will only accept on-line application forms.

We are seeking a full time locum consultant to cover The Oaks Ward (inpatient service)  on a 1 year fixed term contract whilst the current post holder is on maternity leave.

The Oaks Ward is the acute admission ward for older people with functional disorders resident in the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.

The Trust works to the ‘productive ward’ model of acute in-patient care that involves regular senior review of patients through daily ward meetings, the close involvement of Community Mental Health Teams, and the management of patients to minimise delays to discharge and to limit the time people spend as in-patients.

Community health staff advises on the care of pressure ulcers, foot, and other mobility problems. The nurse consultant works with ward staff to enhance clinical practice in mental health and physical healthcare.
