Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is responsible for providing mental health services for people of all ages across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, as well as providing some specialist services across the whole of North London and beyond. Since January 2011, the Trust also provides adult and children’s community health services in Enfield, following the transfer of Enfield Community Services from NHS Enfield.

Ward Administrator -Band 3
The North London Forensic Service provides forensic mental health services in both inpatient and community settings. We pride ourselves on providing high quality services to those with mental health problems who have come into contact with the Criminal Justice System and our forensic inpatient services were recently rated as “outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission for the past two years.
The successful applicant will join a 40 strong admin team within the specialist service line, and will be based primarily at Chase Farm Hospital.
We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to join the service, working across up to two of our inpatient wards. The successful applicant will play an important role as part of the ward team, and will have daily contact with members of the multidisciplinary clinical team in addition to patients, carers and visitors to the unit.
The successful applicant should have NVQ 2 or equivalent and previous administrative experience is essential. You should have good organisational skills and have experience of dealing with members of the public. You will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills. You should have an understanding of confidentiality issues and the ability to use your initiative. You will need to be a true team player with the necessary skills to provide a high quality support service.
